Status CArd clinics
The goal of the Status Card Clinic is to ensure that all people who are eligible for Status Cards have access to a support worker to help them in their application process. These clinics are available to Miyoskamin, Saralikitaaq, and NWSM service users for registration as well as Status Card renewals. At specified clinics, we will also welcome members of the urban Indigenous community who already have their SCIS number and need a renewal or reissuance of their Status Card. We work in coordination with external organizations which support Indigenous people in Montreal to ensure that people who access services at these organizations have information on Status Card clinics at Miyoskamin.
For more information on upcoming clinics, please check this page or talk with your support worker if you access services at Miyoskamin, Saralikitaaq, and NWSM. Registration links will be made available publicly for clinics which welcome members of the urban Indigenous Community.
Please note that these clinics are for Status Cards for First Nations individuals through Indigenous Services Canada, unless otherwise specified on the information related to a specific clinic, we do not have the capacity to support Inuit community members looking to register for or renew their Beneficiary Number or Card. We hope to grow our capacities and partnerships in the future so that we can consistently support Inuit participants at these clinics as well.
Our next Status Card Clinic will be held on October 22 2024 from 9:00-5:00 PM at our Administrative Office Space (1751 Rue Richardson Bureau 3.114)
To book an appointment, please email service.coordinator@miyoskamin.com. Please bring 1 piece of valid government photo ID. If you're registering for the first time, you’ll need an original birth certificate. To receive your first Status Card immediately, bring 2 passport photos.
Please note: At this time, we cannot support Inuit individuals seeking to renew or register for a beneficiary card.
